Televisions

For watching movies, we have 2 smart TV’s in the main house, 1 large screen smart TV in the downstairs studio guest suite, and 1 home theater projector and screen with Google TV at the Casita.

All televisions are setup with Chromecast!

Here are some Chromecast-enabled apps on your smartphone / laptop (there are more!):

1. Netflix

How to cast from these apps to the televisions:

1. Make sure the mobile device, tablet or computer you're using to cast is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast or TV with Chromecast built-in.

2. Open a Chromecast-enabled app.

3. Tap the Cast button Inactive cast extension.

4. Note: The Cast button isn't located in the same place across all Chromecast-enabled apps.

5. Tap the device you'd like to cast to.

6. When you're connected, the Cast button will turn solid, letting you know you're connected.

7. You can now cast videos, movies, and TV shows directly to your TV.

8. To stop casting, tap the Cast button and then Disconnect.

Enjoy! 

Music

For music, there is a Google Home device on the kitchen counter. You simply need to say, "Hey Google...play (a song title/podcast/etc)," and it will typically work. Then, you can also say, "Hey Google... stop."
